Private Machine Sewing Lessons

$150-$175 + Materials Fee

In this lesson you will: Get to know your own sewing machine and how to take care of it so you can finally do that pants alteration you’ve been telling yourself you’ll get around to for the past three years and also hem your damn curtains. In this 2-4 hour customized lesson you will become confident in the use and care of your own sewing machine! This lesson is tailor made for the owner of a sewing machine who does not yet know how to use their machine.

1. Setting up your sewing machine and your sewing space

2. Threading the machine and winding the bobbin/servicing the machine

3. Operating the sewing machine and making friends with it

4. Creating a sampler to get familiar with all of the different stitches and operations that your machine is capable of

5. Complete a level 1 sewing project to learn the basics of pinning, ironing and sewing hems by machine
